Skyco International Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. ("Skyco") has signed a package agreement with Qatar Airways covering the lease extension and end-of-term disposal of two aircraft. The transaction locks in a stable, long-term rental income for Skyco Leasing by setting out a clear exit path for the assets in advance, which effectively shields the company from residual-value volatility at the end of the lease term.

The global aviation industry is going through a critical fleet-renewal cycle. In a complex and fast-changing environment, volatile residual values for aging aircraft and mounting uncertainty around asset disposal have become risks for aircraft leasing industry. Skyco structures an innovative “long-term lease extension plus end-of-term disposal” transaction designed to balance returns against risk.

Skyco has cultivated a deep presence in the global aviation market, conducting in-depth analysis of industry cycle trends, market supply and demand dynamics, and the core demands of leading overseas airlines. Working jointly with Qatar Airways, the two parties carried out comprehensive and refined risk-return modeling, reshaping the cooperation logic through professional expertise and dynamically iterating and optimizing the transaction plan. This elevated the end-of-lease asset disposition arrangement from an "optional" element of cooperation to a "must-have" consensus for both parties, systematically overcoming cross-border cooperation barriers and creating an exemplary case of deep, mutually beneficial cooperation between a Chinese aviation leasing enterprise and a leading Middle Eastern airline..

Compared with conventional leasing deals, this innovative transaction structure not only locks in continuous and stable rental cash flows to ensure sustained revenue and profit generation from the assets, but also clarifies the end-of-lease asset exit pathway in advance, fundamentally mitigating potential risks arising from residual value fluctuations at lease-end, thereby safeguarding the stable operation of assets throughout their entire lifecycle.

Throughout the project, Skyco has consistently adhered to its long-termist commitment, integrating the philosophy of "pragmatic operations and steady development" into every stage of decision-making process, maintaining a balance between current operating returns and long-term asset security. As a specialized enterprise deeply engaged in the aviation leasing sector, Skyco has established a global business footprint spanning Nansha, Tianjin, Hong Kong, and Ireland, with overseas business exceeding 50%. This lease extension project with Qatar Airways is a key component of Skyco's overall fleet optimization plan for 2026.

At the same time, Skyco continues to deepen the meticulous management of its assets, steadily phasing existing assets in and out in an orderly manner while improving the quality of new additions. In the first half of the year, guided by its 15th Five-Year Plan, the company pushed ahead on both tracks. It advanced the orderly turnover of existing assets, accelerated the efficient disposal of older aircraft, and closed several portfolio transactions involving existing assets, continuously unlocking their operating value. It also stepped up the introduction of new-generation aircraft, engaging extensively with major domestic and international leasing institutions and the world’s leading airlines, and made steady progress on new placement programs with carriers such as Wizz Air. Through this two-pronged approach — optimizing existing assets while upgrading new ones — the company keeps refining its fleet mix and enhancing the quality of its core assets, firmly consolidating its competitiveness for long-term sustainable development.

Going forward, Skyco will remain focused on its core aircraft leasing business, further optimize its global operations, and — through meticulous asset management and high-quality cross-border partnerships — continue to create sound operating value and industrial value, achieving higher-quality development over the long run.
